The CHILTERN VEHICLE PRESERVATION GROUP was formed in 1991 to cater for all types of road vehicle with no preference for make or model, so today the club has members with interests in pre-war, post-war and classic cars as well as buses, commercial vehicles, fire engines, bicycles and motorcycles in fact if it has wheels we have an

RALLIES AND SHOWS
The CHILTERN VEHICLE PRESERVATION GROUP actively promotes itself at many shows and rallies as well as holding its own event the LUTON FESTIVAL OF TRANSPORT.
We attend many local shows and some national ones including the Alexandra Palace Classic Car show & the Classic and Sportscar show at the NEC where we have been particularly successful over the years.
Some of our members also run their own shows these include Woburn Abbey Classic Car Show, Chiltern Hills Rally and Kensworth Classic Car Rally.
The Meetings
The club holds monthly meetings throughout the year with talks, films or guest speakers at the winter gatherings. During the summer months we hold outdoor meetings at local hostelries attended by 70 plus vehicles. You will find a list of our forthcoming meetings in our Events Diary.
The group attends many local shows throughout the summer mounting exhibits on club stands and also enters many inter-club competitions.
The group also arranges the occasional visit to places of interest to the membership and in the past has visited Aston Martin’s factory, Museum of british Road Transport, Midland Air Museum, Ivan Dutton’s Bugatti workshops and Mike Suttcliffe’s restoration workshops and more are planned for the future.
THE EXHIBITS
The Club provides permanent displays and exhibits members vehicles in the transport wing of the Stockwood Park Museum for Luton Borough Council
